Small, friendly and welcoming inn about 7 miles from centre of Lincoln. Situated close to railway level crossing, although train noise was not a problem. Food is excellent and good value for money. The full English breakfast, cooked to order, sets you up for the day.

We were most impressed that an electric heater had been especially installed to provide heat as the central heating pipes had frozen in the cold weather. The service was excellent and both hosts were very friendly. Good quality local beer was on sale in the bar.

I had a very good nights sleep, the bed was very comfortable and warm. Unfortunately I couldn't say the same for the shower! Breakfast was adequate.

Family run pub/hotel. Very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately we had eaten before arrival on the first night and on the second night, when we hoped to try the menu, there was a power cut so no electric in the village, and so we had to travel out for a meal. Would definitely stay again if in this area.

At the time of our stay, the railway was cared for by paul and debs who were relief managers.
The quality of service was excellent as was the accomodation. Breakfast was outstanding. The hospitality given by these two people was faultless and in future I would always book here if I am in the area. Many thanks.

The bed and breakfast and proprieters were lovely, we had a very relaxing evening in the pub with a wonderful coal fire. Great value for money and the full English breakfast was amazing!
The room was well equipped although the walls were pretty thin so we could hear next doors conversation.
The mugs provided with the tea and coffee making facilities were stained so we had to wash them thoroughly before using.
The bathroom wasn't terribly clean which was quite off putting. When showering the plughole was so blocked that the shower tray overflowed. Also when the toliet was flushed the pipes vibrated and sounded as though they could almost explode!

Our only complaint about this hotel is that it is situated right beside a level crossing which is in frequent use and has alarm bells that ring every time the barrier goes down. However, this did not really effect our sleep.

An absolute gem of a hotel, tucked away in the countryside. I read the reviews before I booked, and stayed in room 1. If this is the one that had the mattress that needed replacing, its either been replaced, or I didn't have a problem with it. And I can endorse the comments about the breakfasts - freshly cooked, and huge!

A small pub in a rural setting near a railway line. No nightime noise from railway. Within easy reach of Lincoln, just off A 46.
Rooms in outbuildings to the rear of the pub are excellent. Modern, clean and comfortable. Food in the pub ridiculously cheap with huge portions - concentration on quantity rather than quality, but perfectly acceptable. Would recommend for short stays.
Negative points, no shaver plug in my bathroom.
