The hotel was easy to find and parking was located at the end of the beautiful gardens. The bedroom was very well appointed with a beautiful en suite, but it was very small and soon became cluttered. It was definitely not worth the going rate of £275.00 per night. The cooked breakfast was quantity as opposed to quality. Overall, I felt the hotel was lacking character and I certainly have no intentions of returning.

Wonderful room (number 14) including huge bathroom and very unusual and comfortable bed! Breakfast of a very high standard - especially the porridge with Whisky and the Full English. Have stayed in many similar hotels but this has been the best of the lot and the greatest value for money. Really felt welcome and the complementary mini-bar added to the impression that the management didn't want to rip us off!

A lovely hotel in a lovely place. We got upgraded one night to one of the cottage suites which are luxurious and very spacious ( liked the TV in the bathroom ) although very expensive. The only critismn was the menu in Juliana's was very complicated and the cheapest wine was £29 per bottle which for Pino Grigio is a bit expensive. Other than that a very classy hotel.

A small upmarket hotel with a mix of bedrooms, suites and cottages. Interesting historically, but now furnished in modern style to a high standard. Well trained polite staff giving attentive service. The bed was very comfortable. I arrived late and stayed just one night so can only comment on breakfast, which was excellent apart from the coffee being weak!

The restaurant had a set menu and charged 49.50. I had considered eating one meal there but having eaten an omelette one evening that had a rubber quality and being served poached eggs for breakfast that were hugely overcooked I decided to give it a miss. The room was smaller than I expected given the fact that we had upgraded but it was fully equipped with the latest technology including a television in the bath. The location was good although parking was not always easy and roadside.
Food is incredibly important to me and it is only for this reason that I would not stay at the hotel again otherwise I would recommend it.

A very warm welcome and a beautifully presented room. Small details had been thought of to make your stay very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and made to order and served later than you'd expect which is very useful especially when the bed is too comfy to leave. A great find!
