Took a little while to get into hotel but room spacious and clean and locale in Kemptown good.Good for the money and for those who want a base for exploring brighton.
Found hotel to be good and clean the shower was a little small in my room and the remote for the tv did not work even when I changed the batteries
Room furniture scratched and chipped. Shower too small and extractor fan did not work. No food on offer.
Not the best hotel, very basic. Room was a fair size but old fashioned. Location ok, 10/15 minute walk to main centre, and only a couple of minutes to the sea front. Quite expensive for what it is, other hotels in the area offer better accomodation at a cheaper price.
I must say that I enjoyed my stay at this small hotel, in the Kemp Town area of Brighton. It's fairly well located, with a short walk to the city center. I was made to feel extremly welcome, and was looked after very well, when ever I needed anything. I would certainly stay there again, and recommend it to anyone that is thinking of ppanning a visit to Brighton.
A very barebones hotel, but that was what I expected for the price. Only real disappointment was customer service - they seemed surprised that I wanted to know what to do with my key when I checked out.
hotel was in a good location & not too far away from the pier etc, we stayed in a room at the front of the hotel & was amazed at how quiet it was at night time. the room was very clean & the beds are comfortable. the shower is a on the small side & i found it diffuicult not to soak the room, but it was all clean & towels were provided. overall we had a nice stay & even though we felt £80 was a little over priced for a room without breakfast, we would definatly go back.
hotel had a great location especially for all the bars around kemp town.staff were very freindly. The only thing I would say is they could reduce their prices a bit as there is no breakfast included and for our second night in brighton we stayed at the Hilton Metropole and for very little more money we got both dinner and breakfast for 2
The hotel is located on a side street, along with a few other small hotels, and is only a few minutes walk from the seafront and pier (even in heels!). Our room was on the second floor and there was hardly any noise from outside; just the cry an occasional seagull. The hotel is fairly basic - no dining facilities, and the "reception" was in what seemed to be a store room at the back - and our room was pretty small (there was just enough room to walk around the bed), but it was clean and well-maintained, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was nice! The room key allows entry to the front door too, so there is no curfew. Our stay was marred only by the people staying above us on the Saturday night, who returned in the early hours with a rather excessive amount of noise.
Very noisy!
The location of the hotel was very good for exploring Brighton & surrounding area. Although we have rated the hotel positively it should be noted that there can be some noise from the street outside. Our room was on the ground floor & by the main entrance & some guests were excessively noisy when returning late evening/early morning.
