Accommodation was good - friendly and clean.
Ideal for 1/2 nights stay on business. Small but adequate room with good facilities. Breakfast excellent and a good choice of Inn meals to choose from in the evening.One small problem no mobile signel (O2 mobile)

Excellent location and value for money, would certainly recommend it without hesitation and would certainly stay again when we continue our exploration of this area.
Small room but spotless and very comfortable. Pub shuts on Monday lunchtimes and has limited menu in the evening. Good value and highly recommended.
Apart from member of staff we found the rest not very friendly. The food offered good variety and the meat was of excellent quality however it did not deliver in freshness in the vegtables and were obviously overcooked and not fresh that day.I am a chef so I knew this was the case. The price of the food was good as I had venison steak for under £10 but really that was the only thing i could say i ate with satisfaction.Our waiter was excellent and good fun and took my comment on board in good spirit.Apart from him the reat of the staff looked like they didn't want to be there really.We would stay again as the room & breakfast were excellent in lovely surroundings & easy to find. I was disapponted not to recieve a email back after i asked some questions regarding the area when i boked the room and emailed the inn direct 2 weeks before our stay.
Arrived at the hotel only to find that they had not received the booking from Laterooms! But they very helpfully rang around for us and eventually found another hotel not too far away which was fantastic.
Nothing particularly special but quiet, clean and good value for money.
Food was excellent for a pub (and at pub prices too), so much so that we eat here every night. Very friendly service from all the staff. The rooms were very clean, tidy and comfortable - if a little on the small side, but the power shower more than made up for this! You can park right outside your door and come and go as you please. Quite a quiet area so don't need to worry about being kept awake by noise from pub. For the money was pleasantly surprised. Very easy to find the Roebuck and would definitely recommend.
The Roebuck Inn proved to be out of the way. We had to ask for directions a couple of times before we got there.Lovely welcome and the staff were very helpful. We had an evening bar meal but it wasn't very good. The breakfast was good. Our room was lovely (in a block behind the inn) but could have done with a vacuum.
A very good value experience. Didnt eat there only used it as a base for exploring the area. The rooms are very compact but good for the price. The pub itself could have been cleaner. I'd recommend it to others.
The hotel was very good and the service was excellent. We couldn't find it that easy at first from Lewes, but with some local directions we were well on our way.

Rooms are a little on the small side, but very clean, comfortable and to good level of decoration. Again bathroom is small but like new with excellent shower. Owners/Staff are very helpful, friendly and can provide good local knowlegde of places to visit. Breakfast and evening meal were both above average. For an overnight or a base for a long weekend this represents excellent value for money.
