Friendly welcome, yet annexe/coach house accommodation standard is below that of the main building. Internet access was problematic in the main building and had not (then) been extended to the coach house.

Arrived after dark, extremely difficult to find, no street lighting and not well sign posted. Room very warm despite the windows being opened all night - even water from the cold tap was warm. dreadful mismatch of furniture. All in need of renovating to be in keeping with its surroundings. No information regarding hotel services in the room. Extremely disappointing as the location was lovely, sorry but would not be staying again.

Lovely staff - slight mix up at the beginning about double/twin room was put right immediately with a smile, and I was helped to the room with my bag, despite there being a wedding in full flood. Breakfast was exceptionally good - proper coffee, good muesli, good quality cooked breakfast. I asked to check out slightly later than stated and that wasn't a problem. Annoyingly the internet wasn't working in our room but other than that, great. Nice area and countryside - public footpaths nearby for walking/jogging.

Maes Manor is located in a very quiet and tranquil spot with nice views from the right rooms. On arrival we were told we would be staying in the Coach House not the main hotel. While the room was perfectly okay, the fact that it was on the ground floor and had bars on the window was slightly off putting. To their credit they did find us a room in the main hotel, although we had to move for the third night to accommodate a wedding party. Taking of which it may be wise to check with the hotel when booking whether they have any functions on. The hotel is very popular as a wedding venue and for our last night we had the room above the ballroom with a very loud disco. Although we weren't particularly bothered, it is worth thinking about if you have young children. The food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Excellent - beautifull building and location, freindly reception. Room was baking hot but otherwise no complaints.
Sat Nav struggled to find Hotel from Postcode (not their fault!) so print-off a low-level map.

Dinner was good, however, the breakfast was a little on the poor side. The breakfast waitress was also in too much of a rush and procceeded on two occasions to walk away from me as I was talking to her. This resulted in her getting my order wrong, twice.

Stayed here several times now and have had a consistently good experience. Lovely location and building set in great countryside. Always a friendly greeting, often being used for local events and meetings, so the bars are sometimes lively. Always had a good night's sleep, far away from busy roads and noisy town centre.
