We travelled from Ireland (as a group of 4) to stay here for 2 nights to see a liverpool game. The hotel was very central, it was just around the corner from the night life of Matthew Street. I have travelled to Liverpool many times and this was without a doubt the best located hotel which I have stayed in.
The man in reception was extremely friendly and helpful. He offered advice on shopping areas and socializing and made the trip very pleasant. As we travelled in a group of 4 staying in one room we were deligted when he offered us one key each for our room. I am used to getting one key between 4 of us in other hotels which is an inconvenience.
Check in and check out was an extemely fast process and the man in reception even gave us a wake up call at 6am as we had an early flight. I have no complaints about the hotel or staff and will definately try book this hotel first before considering others on our next trip to Liverpool.

Room was tiny, 7x7. Could not sit on the loo with door closed! Receptionist was jack of all trades and definately not master of any. He could not get the credit card terminal to work and managed to lock everyone out of the reception with my bags locked inside. They had told me there was parking but did not tell me it was on an open piece of derelict land with no effective security and when I came to pay they charged £17.00 saying "you get nothing free these days" but the point was I was not inforrmed of the charge when I booked. I do not have a problem paying a reasonable charge for secure parking.

Very friendly staff made us welcome, recommending a good cafe and restaurant for breakfast and dinner which we had decent discounts on.

Perfectly sized room for two for a match. I couldn't recommend the room for any luxury trip but for a night or two to get your head down in a perfect central Liverpool location this place is the ticket!!

This downtown hotel - round the corner from the Cavern - has been open three months but in fact is still undergoing work, notably in the reception area, so it is a bit early to rate it. The single rooms are not big but are well equipped except that there was no bedside table or light switch within reach of the bed in mine. Street cleaning at midnight and dustbins or deliveries before dawn did break up the night's sleep but the staff I met were very friendly and prepared to be helpful.

First impressions - This place looks more like a hostel than a hotel!!! On arrival the reception was locked. A very casually dressed manager, arrived within minutes and we were checked in in no time. He also left his mobile number and was really quite helpful. The room was tiny and very basic but had two beds and a tiny en-suite which is about all we needed. It was not until we went out that we realised we were right beside all the nightlife we were looking for. This hotel could not be more central.
In summary, This hotel is very basic but is in a great location. No frills but all in all not bad value for money. Especially as we booked on-line 10 mins before we arrived.

Probably the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in, but if all you need is a single bed for a night or two, it's fine. Although I'm not tall, I could touch both walls at once without too much difficulty. Nevertheless, Ian is probably the most helpful concierge/reception manager I've come across in the UK. What the hotel lacks in amenities is more than made up for in terms of location. And I'm sure the reception will be great when it's finished. In value for money terms, it would be hard to beat - but using their car park will increase your bill by 50% so be careful.

I had a very small single room, adequate for short stay but very basic. There was lots of noise from the street below.

The rooms are very small.
The position is excellent, in the city centre and even if near the hotel there are many clubs, the room was very quiet.

Ground floor/Reception area completly gutted and undergoing refit.Would have been worried but was forewarned by reading previous reveiws.Room very very small but recently refurbished to a good standard. As its so close to the "cultural quarter" noise levels from street were high.Overall it was good value for money and is suited to people who come to Liverpool to party all night long!!!!!

The man who booked us in was very friendly and welcoming, however the reception area was in the process of being built which didn't give a good impression of the hotel. The room was clean and tidy, however it was extremely small. In order to get out of the shower you had to back into the bathroom door and there was hardly any room to move in the bathroom. The room layout was also a little odd as they had put a row of hooks for clothes above the mirror so if you'd hung anything on them you wouldn't have been able to see in the mirror. The doors let the look of the hotel down as they appeared to be like mdf. It's a nice hotel but was very pricey given the level of finish in the rooms. It was fine for one night but a bit small to stay in for a week.

The hotel is in the process of being refurbished so reception area is not yet complete. However the rooms are finished and are decorated to a high standard and are clean and comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome at the Eleanor Rigby by Ian who was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location, within short walking distance of the main shopping areas including the Liverpool One. Also it is only round the corner from the Cavern Quarter which has a selection of pubs and clubs including the famous Cavern Club. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there is a selection of eateries nearby to suit every budget. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Booked a twin room for one night. It was on the very small side (but clean) for £99 but you also pay for the location and you couldn't have asked for more in that respect. Close to everything with good link to Anfield also. Given a key to the front so need to worry about your arrival back at the hotel becoming late. People have complained about the noise but we had a perfect nights sleep but then it was a Wednesday night might vary on a Fri or Sat night.
Check in staff very friendly aswell.
Note: This hotel has no lift so if you're unable to walk up to 3 floors of stairs this isn't for you.
All in all, a bit pricey but perfect location and does the job.
