the rooms are bright and spacious but except for the bedside shelves, the rest of the wooden surround over the bed was of no use, the lights could have been put on the walls and this would make the rooms more spacious.

Reception staff appeared a bit overworked but generally polite.

No complaints at all - the rooms were bigger than those that I'd paid over double for the night before, and the hotel is well equipped with free wifi broadband, and a nice flat screen TV on the wall. Altogether a really good stay, and really convenient for the football at both Blackburn, and Preston (I'm a travelling Reading fan who used this hotel to stay at before the Preston away game).

Good hotel for overnight & short business stays. Well placed for access to M65, Blackburn and Darwen.
This was my second stay - no problems with the room this time. In-room WiFi worked well. Food good for a chain-type pub I thought.
I'd rate this hotel as "OK" but I don't mean that as an insult - it fills a specific need and does it well.

Recently refurbished but already showing signs of wear. Opposite football ground so avoid match nights. I've heard that it can get rowdy at weekends too. Couldn't get the WiFi to work though I didn't try hard and the cold tap in my room didn't work. Having said all that, it IS convenient, clean, the food is OK and I'd stay again on business. Final verdict "OK".
